Warsaw (Polish: Warszawa) is the capital of Poland and its largest city. Its population was estimated at over 1.7 million inhabitants. It is the 8th largest city in the European Union.

Warsaw is an important cultural centre known for its festivals such as Planet Doc Review, Warsaw Jewish Film Festival, Ludwig Van Beethoven Easter Festival, Warsaw International Book Fair, Warsaw Autumn, Jazz Jamboree, Warsaw Mozart Festival, International Theatre School Festival, Warsaw International Poster Biennale and more.

Warsaw is also an important educational capital with such major universities as the Warsaw University, Military University of Technology, Warsaw Medical University, Warsaw School of Social Psychology, Warsaw University of Technology.

Warsaw is becoming an important place for international conferences and congresses such as the International Atlantic Economic Conference, Poland International Education Conference, International Monetary Fund and National Bank of Poland Conference.

Tourist attractions should not be underestimated when speaking about Warsaw with the Old Town, the Royal Castle and communist-style buildings like the Palace of Culture and Science.
